Iconic rock legend Phil Lynott died on January 4, 1986, 25 years ago today. He died of heart failure and pneumonia in Salisbury District Hospital, England. Thin Lizzy is one of Hard Rock’s best bands with a string of classic albums spanning various line up changes. Their live show was legendary. Lizzy have been a huge influence on hard rock and heavy metal music. Notable bands such as Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slough Feg, Def Leppard, Mastodon, and Crescent Shield :-) have sung their praises.
In 2005, a life-size bronze statue of Phil Lynott was unveiled on Harry Street, off Grafton Street in Dublin.
